‘Surprised, privileged’: Kailash Vijayvargiya after BJP fields him from Indore-1
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) fielded its National General Secretary Kailash Vijayvargiya from the Indore-1 Assembly seat for the Madhya Pradesh polls. The move surprised Vijayvargiya, who said that he did not wish to contest the election, but party senior leaders asked him to do so. "Although I had said that I did not want to contest the election, senior leaders of the party gave me some directions the day before yesterday. I was in a conundrum and after the announcement was made, I was left surprised. I am privileged that I got the opportunity to participate in electoral politics. I will try to fulfil the party’s expectations,” the BJP leader said.
