Stock Market Today Live: New lifetime high for Sensex at 62498, Nifty 40 points higher

Indian markets picked up momentum after cautious start. They started in the red taking cues from their Asian peers which were also negative impacted from news of widespread protests in China against Xi Jinping Government's decision of a harsher lockdown. S&P BSE Sensex was trading at 62,443.08, up 149.44 points or 0.24 per cent. Nifty50 was trading at 18,549.85 at 11:00, up 37 points or 0.20 per cent from the Friday closing level. In the 50-stock Nifty50, 34 shares advanced while 16 declined around this time. The top gainers were BPCL, Reliance Industries, Hero MotoCorp, SBI Life and Bajaj Auto while the top losers were Hindalco Industries, Apollo Hospitals, HDFC, JSW Steel and HDFC Bank. There is action in primary markets as well as Dharmaj Crop Guard IPO opened today for subscription. The issue which ends on 30 November has a price band at Rs 216-237. THe lot size is 60 shares while the size of the issue is Rs 251.2 crore.
