 Divya Delhi: Eight suspects have been apprehended in connection with the murder of K Armstrong, the BSP state president in Tamil Nadu, as reported by PTI. Additional Commissioner Asra Garg stated that 10 police teams are actively pursuing the accused. He emphasized that the investigation is in its initial stages, anticipating more clarity as more facts emerge. Garg indicated the police are exploring several potential motives behind Armstrong's killing, expecting a clearer understanding after interrogating the suspects. K Armstrong, a prominent advocate and Dalit voice in Tamil Nadu, was fatally attacked by a gang of six near his Chennai residence. The assailants fled after inflicting severe injuries, leading to Armstrong's death en route to the hospital. In response, BSP supporters staged protests in Chennai, causing a traffic jam near Rajiv Gandhi Government Hospital where Armstrong's postmortem was conducted. Mayawati emphasized the urgency of punishing those responsible for the heinous act.
