Sources told that the Trinamool Congress (TMC) has offered two seats to INDIA bloc ally Congress in West Bengal for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. The sources claimed that party president and West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee thinks the ruling party should decide seat allotment. Sources told the daily that seat-sharing estimates include state assembly and parliamentary elections.In December, TMC proposed finalizing seat sharing by December 31, but no statement has been made. In the final INDIA bloc meeting on December 20, Banerjee told journalists that she and AAP supremo Arvind Kejriwal recommended Mallikarjun Kharghe as the bloc's PM face. Bihar Deputy CM Tejashwi Yadav recently claimed Nitish Kumar was an experienced politician and would be a fantastic INDIA coalition convenor. RJD member Yadav also expressed optimism that seat-sharing will be resolved "without any problem".
