KYOKUSSHIN KARATE FOUNDATION OF INDIA AND ROUND TABLE INDIA ORGANISED ALL INDIA KARATE TOURNAMENT IN DELHI
New Delhi- The 29th All India Karate Tournament was held on the 30th Nov 2018 at the Talkatora Stadium, New Delhi. It was organised by the Kyokushin Karate Foundation of India, in partnership with Round Table India. About 300 participants from age groups of 6 to 18+ years from more than 16 states of India, took part in the tournament. Kyokushin Karate Foundation of India was founded in 2016 by Sensei Vasant Kumar Singh, 4th Degree Black belt from Tokyo Japan. The foundation was created with the aim of spreading awareness about self defence in the country through the teachings of the strongest martial art in the world, created by the founder Sosai Masutatsu Oyama. Since it’s inception, the foundation has held more than 200 self defence camps in various schools and colleges in the North India. Currently, the foundation has tied up with Round Table India to teach self defence to the girls studying in their FTE schools. Round Table of India ,worlds biggest fellowship and non profit organisation with its prime motive of spreading education to underprivileged children in India through its initiative called “freedom through education” was started in India in 1957. Over over the past so many years, the organisation has grown to more than 4,000 members from 200+ tables across 76 cities across. The organisation has built over 2600 schools with 6200 classrooms across India. The members comprise of businessmen, entrepreneurs and professionals who can rise above personal concerns to seek and serve the larger needs of the community and society. The chief guest for the opening ceremony was the Ex-speaker of Delhi Assembly, Dr. Yoganand Shastri, while the guest for the closing ceremony was Mr. Viswendra Singh, Dy. Comm - SDMC. The awards ceremony was presided over by Mr. Sandeep Byala, Add. DCP-PMO. Other dignitaries gracing the tournament were Shri. Dhruv Dalmia (National President of RTI), Shri Sahil Jindal , chairman Area 5 and other board members of the Round Table of India. Our correspondent spoke to Mr Dhruv Dalmia of Round Table India about this endeavour to which he replied that we keep on organising such events with kyokushin foundation and our we have a tie up with them for training of self defence to round girls of our FTE schools. Till now we have already organised more than 200 camps in various schools with an aim of equipping girls with a self defence techniques through strongest martial art of world.
