Shivaji College, University of Delhi organized its annual cultural festival Vibrations on 2-3 February 2023. Shri Fagan Singh Kulaste, Minister of State for Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution and Rural Development, Government of India, was present as the chief guest in the inaugural session on Thursday, the first day of the two-day festival. President of Shivaji College Management Committee Prof. Rakesh Kumar, Principal of the college Prof. Shiv Kumar Sahdev and Dr. Nimita Kant, Coordinator of the Cultural Committee, and all the teachers, staff and students of the college were present on the occasion. Mr. Kulaste, in his address, underlined the role of cultural programs in enhancing the multifaceted personality of the college students. He said that such an event proves that students can enhance his personality through other arts like song, music, dance, creative writing, debate, drama etc. College Principal Professor Shivkumar Sahdev gave the welcome address. He also motivated the students of the college to actively participate in the cultural programme. Renowned Sufi singers Niazi Brothers mesmerized the audience present through their ghazals and Sufiana songs and music. Inter college competitions were also organized on the first day of cultural festival in which single and group dance competition, face painting competition, fashion show and creative writing competition, debate competition were organised. Students from more than three dozen colleges of Delhi University participated in these competitions.
