“PINT SIZED SCHOOLERS CONDUCT EXPERIMENTS”-TURN CLASSROOMS INTO LABS
PIONEER CONVENT SR. SEC. SCHOOL, Loknayakpuram held a social cum Science Exhibition that featured its scholars’ projects and experiments. It piqued the children’s natural curiosity in STEAM learning (Science,Technology,Engineering, Arts and Mathematics) by allowing them to explore topics that they are interested in. The guest of honor for the occasion was Mr. Suresh Pehalwan (Nigam Parishad) and additional SHO Sahi Ram. Sh. Sahi Ram conveyed that he is impressed to see the scientific intellect of the students.he further said that Pioneer Convent Schoolis the best school in the area and promised all possible support to the school. The chief guest Mr. Suresh in his address motivated students and said that such exhibitions are just a journey for new inventions. He interacted with the students and answered some very important and interesting questions that were put up to him by them. Innovative science projects such as water pollution, 3d model on life cycle of a frog, Chandaryaan II, Solar Pannel, Hydraulic Truck, Portable Adsorption purifier, Solenoid engine, Tesla Coil, Transit bus, Aditya L.L which is all set to launch into space, Steam Power Generator, Sewage water treatment plant,The Kargil War 1999 were some of the models that displayed the creativity of the students. The judges of the event were overwhelmed by the innovative ideas presented by the students. Principal Dr. Seema Bajaj wished the best of luck to all the participants of the exhibition and stressed on the fact that the energy and sustainable development should be viewed as powerful tool for economic development. Vice Principal Kamlesh Kaur thanked the guests and thae parents and appreciated the encouragement conveyed by them. Distinct venues were allotted for the different subjects, for the displays at projects madeby the students. As one entered the reception area itself, one could feel the pulse and the magnitude of the event! The entireschool was abuzz with activity. The winning teams were felicitated. All participants were awarded with certificated of participation. The exhibition was indeed a great platform for young budding scientists and an enriching experience for on and all. The exhibition was a huge success. Enthusiasm and effervescence overflowed amongst students and their teachers. The Science Fair supports the children in developing a strong foundation and passion for STEAM learning while developing their 4c’s. The 4c’s,collaboration, communication, creativity and critical thinking are necessary skills, no matter what career path the children choose later on in life.
