Patna to be metropolitan city in coming 10 years: Bihar Minister at IITF
Keeping up the pace of industrial development in Bihar, Patna will become a metropolitan city in the coming 10 years, said Bihar Industry Minister Jai Kumar Singh, Minister while inaugurating Bihar Pavilion at 38th India International Trade Fair (IITF) on Saturday. Several schemes have been launched to industrialise Bihar in past two years, he said. "In coming 10 years, Patna will be a metropolitan. All the things that are available across the world will be available in the city. The city will be reliable; it will grow and become a centre of attraction. If the pace of development is maintained, the result will be seen in 10 years," the minister said. The minister further said that the state of Bihar is one of the fastest growing States in the country and several schemes have been launched in the past two years to industrialise it. Talking about Bihar Industrial Investment Promotion Policy 2016, he informed that around 880 proposals have been processed so far. Similarly, under Bihar Startup Policy, 2017, around 5442 online applications have been received so far. "Out of these applications, around 57 have been worked out and Rs 1.80 crore has been distributed. If we talk about financial incentive clearances, around 243 proposals have been received out of which 201 have been passed," Jai Kumar Singh said.
